The son of an FBI agent and later director, Adam was expected to be a certain person with a certain path laid out in front of him: the opportunities laid in front of him to be profession and not as destructive. Although his mother was fully aware of just how rebellious the young man would grow up to be, his father wasn’t quite as in tune to that reality. It was at the age of seven that music struck a cord within him, and he never quite got it out of his head. His father wanted nothing more then for Adam to stray away from that life style and become an agent, but at sixteen, he royally messed up that.

He got heavy into drugs for almost five years, before he accidentally overdosed and pulled himself together. His mother took him with open arms; his father, the director of the FBI at the time, wanted nothing to do with him. He wound up getting his GED and then going to school for animal medicine, which his mother paid for to get him on track. During college, he met three very influential people who heard his unique sounding voice and asked him to join their band. He started working a shelter right out of college, and he still manages to get together with his band every weekend.
